Magnetic Particle Inspection Course

About Magnetic Particle Testing

Magnetic Particle inspection is a Non Destructive Testing method for the detection of surface or near surface flaws in ferromagnetic materials such as steel and iron. Detection of these flaws is achieved by establishing a suitable magnetic field in the test article, applying magnetic particles to the surface which collects at the site of the flux leakage. Magnetic Particle Testing is conducted in a range of industrial applications, with portable and non-portable systems.
